The first image with a tuning kit for the BMW M2 Coupe, signed by Hamann, has reached the web.

The paint on its body is not even dry yet, but that didn?t stop Hamann from announcing a tuning kit for the brand new BMW M2 Coupe. Enthusiasts should hold on to their pants for now because the image posted above is nothing more than a simple rendering at the moment, but its upgrades are ?inevitable?. The aftermarket specialists from Hamann will be offering a new body kit for the two-door high-performance compact car which will add new front and rear bumpers, new side skirts and a fresh set of wheels.

Modifications will not stop here as the tuning company will also provide several performance enhancements for the vehicle. These will probably mean a new lowered suspension system, better brakes and, obviously, some extra power squeezed from its engine. Speaking about its engine, you should know that the standard model has a 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder M TwinPower Turbo unit under its hood. This is rated at 370 HP (272 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is connected to a 6-speed manual or to an M DCT 7-speed automatic, allowing to the car to reach 100 km/h (62 mph), from a standstill, in 4.5 seconds and in 4.3 seconds, respectively, with the top speed being electronically limited top 250 km/h (155 mph). No details on the exact modifications signed by Hamman and aimed towards the BMW M2 are known for the moment.
